December 18 As A Stock Market Pivot Point To Watch For - Mike Swanson (12/02/2013)
Historically December is the best month for the stock market, because there almost always is an end of the year rally.
Things look setup to repeat this year.
However, historically there is also a very quick dip or pause in the first week of December.
This looks likely too, because the US stock market has a short-term overbought technical condition after rallying in November. So a little pause looks likely.
That would probably be a good time to buy stocks.
So I put together a list of ten top ETF's and ten stock picks for 2014.

Now there is a lot of talk on CNBC that the Fed might "taper" QE this month at the final Benjamin Bernanke FOMC meeting.
They need something to talk about.
This Fed meeting is on December 18th.
What this means is that if the market does pause here or even dip CNBC will talk about "taper" fears as a reason why.
The most foolish of people will worry about it.
That could make December 18th a pivot point to watch for in December, because if some people are still worried about that when that date comes they will stop worrying and hit their buy buttons.

ROBERT SCHILLER SEES BUBBLE DANGERS:
"I am not yet sounding the alarm. But in many countries stock exchanges are at a high level and prices have risen sharply in some property markets," Shiller told Der Spiegel magazine. "That could end badly," he said."
"I am most worried about the boom in the US stock market. Also because our economy is still weak and vulnerable," he said, describing the financial and technology sectors as overvalued." - The Guardian
