Toyota (NYSE: TM) To Recall Some Lexus Cars

Toyota Motor Corp (NYSE: TM) announced that it is going to recall some Lexus models that were made in Japan after revealing that some of its engines may have defective valves in them that could cause them to stall.

The recall amounts to as many as 270,000 vehicles sold across the world.

BJ's Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ) Rallied 17% Thursday

Shares of BJ's Wholesale Club (NYSE: BJ) rallied over 17% yesterday on big volume on news that Leonard Green and Partners bought 5.1 million shares in the company for a 9.5% stake in the entire company.

Jobless Claims Increased Last Week

Today the Labor Department announced that weekly jobless claims rose 13,000 last week to 472,000.

Economists that were surveyed by CBS Marketwatch were expecting jobless figures to decline to 455,000, but instead they rose.

These numbers come ahead of tomorrow's June unemployment report which is expected to show that 110,000 jobs were added to the US economy last month.

Gyrodyne Company (Nadaq: GYRO) Rallies On Court Ruling

Shares of Gyrodyne are trading up over 65% today on the open as a result of a favorable court ruling.

Gyro is a small cap real estate investment trust with real estate properties including office and industrial space in the New York City area. They also own 68 acres about 50 miles east of New York City on Long Island which they plan on developing.

Argon St (Nasdaq - STST) Bought Out By Boeing

Shares of STST are trading up 40% in pre-market action as a result of a buyout announcement by Boeing.

Argon, which is a leader in building military style control, communications, and combat systems, announced today that it agreed to a purchase from Boeing for $34.50 a share, which is about $775 million.
