UraStar Energy Inc. Appoints Charles W. (Bill) Reed to Board of Directors

VANCOUVER, CANADA--(Marketwire - 04/23/10) - Urastar Energy Inc. (TSX-V:URS - News) is pleased to announce that it has appointed Charles W. (Bill) Reed to its Board of Directors. Mr. Reed is a Registered Professional Geologist with over 40 years of work experience in the mining industry focused on exploring for gold-silver and porphyry copper-molybdenum deposits in Mexico, the United States and Latin America. Mr. Reed was directly involved in discovery and development of numerous ore deposits and mines which have produced several million ounces of gold and silver. Mr. Reed's most recent success was as co-founder and chief geologist of Paramount Gold and Silver Corp. (NYSE:PZG - News) where he was responsible for bringing its flagship San Miguel project in Chihuahua, Mexico into the Paramount portfolio of assets. Prior to joining Paramount, Bill was chief geologist (Mexico) for Hecla Mining Company (NYSE:HL - News) and prior thereto was employed by Echo Bay Mines and Occidental Petroleum.
