Stay Focused on the 50 Hottest Stocks

Investors have multiple choices when it comes to putting their money in the stock market. They can buy mutual funds and exchange traded funds with very little thought. But when it comes to making money with individual stocks you need two things - a solid stock trading strategy and a way to narrow your focus so you are only buying stocks that make you money.

Truth is there are hundreds services that offer you stock picks, but not all stocks go up even when there is a bull market and there are always a few stocks that go up the most to make their investors rich while most people simply miss out. You see it happen every day.

To be able to be make real money in the stock market what you need to do is just buy the stocks that are going to go up the most. Personally I keep my attention focused on only the 50 hottest stocks in the stock market. Doing this has enabled me to win a 2002 Robbins Trading Trophy.

I then watch these stocks and their price action to determine whether it is time to buy them. Even when I make a list of the 50 hottest stocks I just don't buy them all, I wait for when some of them are going to break out of that pack and go up even more. I use my list of 50 stocks to narrow my focus away from the thousands of stocks not really going anywhere.

I really believe that this is the best way that you can make money in the stock market. There is no need to just hold stuff that isn't going up, but keep your money in only the top stocks of the best of the bunch.

Once you buy a stock you then to have a good game plan to decide when to take your profits. Some of the best stocks can be held for years, but then there are some that simply move so fast that it is best to sell them and move your money into something else. It's fun having that sort of "problem" to say the least.
